IRS to Reopen After President Trump Signs Bill Ending Shutdown

Following President Trump's signing of a short-term funding measure today, the Office of Management and Budget issued a memo requesting Federal employees "reopen offices in a prompt and orderly manner."

It is anticipated that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will resume normal operations on Monday, January 28, 2019.  Tax filing season set begin on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, for individual taxpayers.
